Our LLL Group has enrichment meetings once a month; our enrichment coordinator tells me that this month's topic is a recipe swap.  We will make a favorite healthy dish and bring it along with copies of the recipe to share with others.  It can be hard to get enthusiastic about cooking during the warm summer months; I'm hoping for some inspiration! 

Our treasurer, meanwhile, tells me that we've received four paid exhibits contracts already for A Family, A Fair!  We're planning space for about 40 exhibitors, and the first 15 to submit paid contracts will have their choice of location on the Town Green as well as first pick of a time slot for unloading and set-up in the morning. 

Our publicity team is hard at work getting info out there about A Family, A Fair.  We may try advertising on Facebook this year!  If you see mention of our event, please let us know where you saw it, as this will help us to know what's working.

To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, we are again hosting A Family, A Fair: A Parenting Festival at the Lake (formerly called the Lake Norman Baby Fair).  This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10am to 2pm on the Town Green in Davidson, North Carolina.  The festival is sponsored by the Town of Davidson and will feature up to forty exhibitors, including well-known businesses and local crafters. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and children’s activities. New and expectant mothers and their families will attend to participate in the activities and visit the exhibits; we expect 400-500 festival-goers.

At this time, we are inviting exhibitors, advertisers, sponsors, and donors to support this important outreach and fund raising event! This is a great opportunity to show your support for breastfeeding and to reach local families with information about your own products or services.
